Responsibilities
Provide structural support to military or commercial engine components through all Product Development Phases.
Perform ANSYS finite element analysis for stress, vibration, fatigue life prediction, and optimization.
Participate in integrated product teams as the structures focal.
Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve processes.
Document and present results to management and external customers.
Support quality initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE tools.
Communicate effectively in English with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
Work in a secured room as required.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering
3.0 GPA requirement or 2 years of engineering experience
1 year of experience with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred
6 months of experience with software and programming languages such as ANSYS, Workbench, ABAQUS, PATRAN / NASTRAN, APDL, MATLAB, VBA, Python, C++, Fortran, MS Office, NX Teamcenter, and SAP
Strong mechanical aptitude to understand complex assemblies and translate interactions into analytical assumptions
