Responsibilities

Work within a scrum team to bring designs and ideas to life for new or improved web applications.

Collaborate with clients, product managers, architects, and software engineers to plan, design, develop, test, and implement impactful solutions.

Prioritize and track work, choose user stories, and develop and test code within sprint cycles.

Lead and guide projects, mentor junior developers, and assign user stories based on technical interests.

Present work to stakeholders, review team's work, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Engage with teams globally, participate in leadership meetings, and handle ad hoc requests.

Present to senior leaders, product owners, and peers with executive-level communications.

Demonstrate expertise in Java, Python, Spring Boot, Javascript, Angular, React, web services, RESTful APIs, and Apache KAFKA.

Required

Expertise in Java and Python

Firm grasp on Spring Boot, Javascript, Angular and/or React

Familiarity with web services, RESTful APIs, and open source tools such as Apache KAFKA

Experience working with front-end, scripting, and back-end technologies

7+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

7+ years of experience in Software Development

5+ years of hands-on experience developing high performance APIs & Web applications

3+ years of experience in building APIs using AWS services, specifically using Java, Python, Lambda and API gateway

Solid experience in supporting mission-critical applications

Web Application development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular is a plus

Familiarity with cloud-native DevOps automation & building CI/CD pipelines

Experience using Bitbucket and Jenkins; Building Terraform modules is a plus

Excellent understanding of Application Security practices

Strong written and verbal communication skills
