Responsibilities

Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations, and appropriate processes.
Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
Establish work plans and staffing for project activities, iterations, or phases.
Implement a project communication plan.
Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
Monitor project activities to ensure currency, quality, and integrity of information.
Ensure project goals align with business objectives and are achieved.
Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel.
Direct and coordinate project personnel activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Benchmark project management performance to identify potential improvements.

Required

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems (or a related field), project management or general business management. Alternatively, equivalent IT experience. Project manager training and certification is desirable.
Three or more years of IT project management or finance transformation project experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
Experience supporting one or more of the following processes and or functional areas. Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Sales Operations, Supply Chain, Collections, or Credit.
Experience supporting ERP implementation or finance or systems transformations
A minimum of two years of demonstrated competency in a junior or assistant project management role involving the execution of multiple projects or a large project
Three or more years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
Experience in leading a team
Experience and ability in using “soft skills” or “people skills”
Ability to lead and motivate others; ability to empathize and knowledge of personality types.
Ability to adapt to new circumstances in a changing business environment.
Familiarity with project management methodologies (for example, that of the Project Management Institute and Agile approaches).
Sensitivity to working in a dynamic/faced paced and to interacting with staff to senior leadership.
Knowledge of project-planning tools.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Expertise in setting and managing customer expectations.
Distinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills. This blend is vital because this is a highly visible position with substantial impact.
Effective influencing in an environment where this role may not directly control resources.
Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
Good understanding of current and emerging technologies, and of how other enterprises are using them to drive digital business.
Ability to develop and execute a project resource plan that ensures that the right people are in the right place doing the right things at the right time.

Project manager training and certification is desirable.
