Responsibilities

Works closely with Software Engineers and related teams to ensure services meet client needs.

Improve infrastructure, deployment and monitoring efforts.

Build, deploy, and migrate production systems.

Dive deep to resolve problems at their root, looking for failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions.

Help recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, operational support at scale, and efficient use of resources.

Assist with infrastructure planning and implementation.

Enforce quality standards through automation and best practices.

Assist with general software development work as needed.

Required

B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field

5+ years’ experience with managing applications on AWS

AWS experience administering and managing a production system to include: Build/deploy/migration, Reporting/monitoring experience, Maintenance of system, Process improvement and documentation/cross-training

Experience writing Infrastructure as code using Terraform

Docker experience including deploying and managing containers

Experience building and administrating production Kubernetes clusters

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible

Java Spring experience required
