Responsibilities
Develop and implement innovative software solutions, addressing complex technical challenges with creative thinking.
Produce secure, high-quality production code, and conduct code reviews and debugging.
Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of applications and systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams, assessing architectural designs and technical credentials for integration into existing systems.
Foster a culture of awareness and adoption of new technologies within Software Engineering communities of practice.
Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of practical experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
Expertise in messaging and streaming systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ, as well as Terraform.
Proficiency with AWS messaging platforms including Amazon MSK, Amazon MQ, and Amazon SQS.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.).
Skilled in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated expertise in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mobile applications.
In-depth knowledge of IT systems within the financial services industry.
Preferred
Familiarity with provisioning and public cloud native components.
Experience in platforming solutions for general-purpose consumption within the enterprise.
