Responsibilities

Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs, working with web designers

Estimate methodically based on iterative learning, setting realistic deadlines

Triage and correct performance and data integrity concerns by reviewing and evaluating code, data patches, system logs

Collaborate with other engineers on features and support cases, support technical decision-making

Create and maintain software documentation

Maintain, expand, and scale Versapay solutions as the customer base grows

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, apply them to operations and activities

Conduct critical R&D to design for scale and reliability, contribute to a high-performing delivery culture

Support the growth of self and others, engage in meaningful discussions around technical issues

Required

Background in computer science, engineering, and/or mathematics with 3+ years of experience in software engineering (C#)

Comfortable working with .NET framework 4.8 and .NET core

Experience in integrating into third party ERPs (especially integrating Sage, Oracle, and MRI)

Solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices

Strong knowledge of relational database systems (SQL Server + Stored Procedures), Object Oriented Programming, and web application development (CSS/JS/HTML)

Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques

Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions and solve real problems

Clear, concise, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience with Jira and can breakdown an epic or story into workable items

Familiarity with and practice of the OWASP top ten and security best practices

Experience with git version control system and GitHub actions
