Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy financial software applications, modules, and systems using programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Implement and optimize algorithms, data structures, and mathematical models for financial calculations, pricing models, and risk analytics.
Integrate financial software applications with existing systems, databases, and APIs.
Develop APIs and web services for data retrieval, processing, and reporting.
Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing financial software systems, addressing bugs, performance issues, and technical debt.
Implement software updates, patches, and enhancements in collaboration with IT operations and support teams.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving system-related issues and ensuring uptime and availability.
Implement and adhere to security best practices, data encryption standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Create technical documentation, user guides, and release notes for financial software applications and systems.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance (QA) to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Follow software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, agile practices, and change management processes.

Required
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C# for software development and financial modeling.
Understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, asset classes, and investment products.
Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
Knowledge of API design and development for data integration, web services, and microservices architecture.
Strong software engineering skills, including software design patterns, version control, and debugging techniques.
Analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze complex requirements, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, document technical designs, and support end-users.
Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes, business requirements, and regulatory environments in the financial industry.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in software development, preferably within the financial services industry or fintech sector.
