Responsibilities
Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Designs and maintains software on a variety of laser systems.
Consults with hardware engineers and other staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software.
Formulates and designs software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
Develops and directs software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Consults with customers regarding software system maintenance.
Creates, modifies, updates, and documents software for machine functionality.
Customizes system software for application-specific solutions.
Works with cross-functional teams to develop new products.
Contributes to design verification and system level integration of electronic subsystems.

Required
Digital and analog electronics programming, laser controls, drives and servos, PC-based controls
Directly contributes to the design verification and system level integration of analog and digital electronic subsystems on Software level
Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work self-directed
Experience with Visual Basic, CC, and/or C+
Experience with Motion Control Software programming and development
Performs the work necessary to design, develop, document, test, integrate, and modify operating systems and application software for a variety of systems and components
A Bachelor of Science degree in software or electrical engineering discipline is required
5+ years of professional work experience in software development is required
Preferred
Vision system integration knowledge
Embedded software development experience
