Responsibilities

Collaborates with management, departments, and customers to identify end user requirements and specifications

Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements

Test and deploy programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software

Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance

Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products

Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects

Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff. They engage and work with other Software Developer IVs

Required

Bachelor's degree in Software Development or a related discipline

Seven or more (7+) years of position-specific relevant experience

Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP

If a candidate does not have a degree at all, four (4) additional years of experience are required

If a candidate holds an Associates degree rather than a Bachelors degree, two (2) additional years of experience are required

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
