Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to collect business assumptions and requirements for all data development work and translate collected details to technical specifications for solution design and development.

Present and articulate technical findings, challenges, and guidance through various media to non-technical stakeholders throughout all stages of work.

Perform ad-hoc data analyses to reveal trends, insights, opportunities, or data deficiencies to aid business decisions, business projects, system implementations, and data integration efforts.

Design, develop, and maintain persistent data visualization and tabular reports, data analyses, data applications, and data extracts.

Maintain and curate a catalog of business intelligence assets, with supporting code versioning repositories and thorough documentation.

Provide technical support and training to a network of embedded business unit data analysts to promote and enable self-service analytics.

Pursue opportunities to remain informed of emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics and apply techniques to continuously improve personal and organizational capabilities.

Perform other data-related duties and projects as assigned.

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or other data-related role

Minimum 2 years of experience in the financial services industry or working with financial services-related data

Minimum 2 years of experience working with SQL and R on structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources, and with Power BI or other data visualization tools

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, especially articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders

Ability to continually prioritize tasks in a highly visible job function and rapidly changing environment

Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively, often with multiple ongoing projects

Analytical and inquisitive with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Knowledgeable on structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources

Proficient in SQL and R (base, tidyverse, sparklyr, rshiny, and quarto)

Skilled in creating appealing, user-friendly dashboards that convey complex data insights
