Responsibilities
Provide technical feedback during Release Planning, Team Refinements including sizing/estimating stories
Actively participate in Daily Stand-ups
Actively participate and contribute to technical design discussions and decisions around designing new features
Develop new feature and modify existing features within our Policy Admin product
Contribute to quality by performing effective unit testing to validate code
Assist team with testing when needed
Mentor junior developers
Provide peer-review of designs, code, and artifact delivery

Required
4+ years of software development experience recommended
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered)
Proficiency with Object Oriented principles, SOLID principles, Data Structures, Databases, XML/JSON, VB.NET
Knowledge of P&C insurance concepts is a plus (training will be provided otherwise)
Comfortable working collaboratively through code reviews, both giving and receiving
Proven ability to write modular, well-tested, and maintainable code. Comfortable advocating for improvements including technical debt
Proven ability to be proactive, work independently, manage time effectively and thrive in a lean environment
Preferred
Experience in software development using the Agile/SAFe methodology
