Responsibilities

Create strategies for developing IT systems and applications.

Evaluate alternative approaches and select optimal approaches.

Design, develop and participate in coding activities.

Lead migration of Direct Secure Messaging (DSM) to AWS GovCloud.

Build a PHP 8 and CodeIgniter 4 API for secure messaging and healthcare records.

Automate DSM installation and configuration on Linux using Bash.

Create environments in AWS for different VPCs with an RDS database per VPC.

Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize current needs.

Resolve root issues at every layer in the stack - PHP, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, NGINX, Apache Web Server, Linux, AWS, and SQL.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or technical discipline.

At least 5 years of experience developing.

Experience with the Department of Veteran Affairs

Demonstrated knowledge and use of modern software development and DevOps tools including GitHub and implementation of a DevOps pipeline in a cloud environment.
