Responsibilities
Own and lead process method development of synthesis, purification, formulation, and wastewater treatment.
Apply knowledge of engineering statistics and design of experiment concepts to plan, design, and develop new process procedures.
Define technical specifications for new processing methods and equipment to improve product performance.
Execute process characterization, investigations, and experiments to achieve high-quality data.
Work with external vendors to develop new process technologies.
Lead and coach junior engineers, participate in product/process development phases, and generate intellectual property by identifying opportunities for inventions.

Required
BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
5 – 10 years’ experience in industrial chemical processing operations.
Experience with filtration, pumping, fluid flow/control, blending, mixing, wastewater treatment and related operations.
Critical/logical thinking to identify problems/process deviations from a variety of perspectives to assess the best solutions.
Familiarity with JMP or related software, design of experiment, and statistical analysis.
Self-motivated and possesses a track record of learning and applying new skills and techniques to solve technical challenges.
Thrive in technically dynamic environment and quickly adapt to changes with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary global team.
Strong communicator and enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
High level of safety awareness.
Candidates must have working authorization in the United States.
Preferred
Experience with process development of nanomaterials including analysis and characterization is a plus.
