Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning, staffing, control, and management of assigned projects or functional areas

Develops and implements strategies meant to assist the business in meeting goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible

Provides counsel, guidance, and assistance in area of specialty

Sets and manages project/workstream expectations

Evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures

Serves as a liaison between project teams, external clients, or other functional areas of the organization

Ensures work is completed on time and within established quality standards and provides reports to internal and external clients and/or project/functional sponsors

Ensures the efficient utilization of Bechtel resources towards business priorities and project performance

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 18+ years of relevant experience or 22+ years of relevant work experience

Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 20+ years of relevant experience or 24+ years of relevant work experience

Ability to partner with other group and senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives to support the project and the overall business line

Ability to make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensure operations achieve objectives effectively

Demonstrated ability to work in a client-facing role or similar with frequent external communications

Knowledge of industry, technology and EPC work processes, including knowledge of customs, culture and business practices of Region/Country where project is located. Knowledge and understanding of working arrangements with joint ventures, alliances and consortiums, and customer representative execution structures. Experience with lump sum and reimbursable projects. Experience in manufacturing and technology (semiconductors, data centers, electric vehicle) preferred.

Knowledge of front-end activities including: Best practices / lessons learned, Constructability, Risk Analysis / Contingency Evaluation, Estimate / Proposal Review Process

Business and Commercial awareness including: Cash flow management, Currency management and hedging strategies, Conserving the use of Bechtel capital

Knowledge and experience in baseline development and implementation including: Scope definition, Roles and Responsibilities, Estimates and resource loaded schedules, Progress and performance curves and metrics, Reports and action items tracking

Knowledge of cross functional work processes and interface knowledge, especially Project Controls, Supply Chain management, Quality management and the ability to manage the relationships/interfaces with management and functional groups.
