Responsibilities

Apply and adhere to fundamental project management principles and apply RKD’s defined project management methodology.

Create and manage project schedules, clearly defining project dependencies, critical path activities and project deliverables.

Prioritize the daily workflow.

Proactively identify and resolve/remediate potential project issues/risks.

Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities.

Work internally across functions to trade-off activity deadlines based on project realities, while ultimately meeting the overall project deadline. Proactively resolve project deadline conflict between departments based on competing deadlines.

Proactively manage project risks and issues to ensure minimize impact to the project’s success. The risk/issue’s mitigation/remediation plan will be communicated to Director of PMO or executive stakeholders as appropriate.

Effectively manage project scope to ensure timelines can be met while meeting business objectives.

Ensure Project Initiation and Project Closure activities are performed.

Schedule and facilitate weekly status reports and meetings with internal teams on every project, delivering updates on timing, budgets, schedule/adjustments required, and any issues pertaining to them.

Lead regular executive level steering committees using the RKD standard status reporting template.

Facilitate project retrospectives to capture learnings.

Motivate co-workers to complete their tasks with personable, cooperative communication, while also maintaining unbiased reporting of issues.
