Responsibilities
Support the planning and implementation of Data Governance and Data Strategy initiatives.
Prepare reports for DSH leaders based on research related to the patient population and departmental operations data.
Lead directed and exploratory data/research projects and process improvement initiatives.
Develop comprehensive reports, communication initiatives, and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required
12 semester or 18 quarter units course work in a data-driven research-related field such as economics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, demography, geography, anthropology, statistics, data science, or a research-related field including at least one course in statistical methods
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
One year of experience in the California state civil service performing data research-oriented duties at a level of responsibility equivalent to that of a Research Data Specialist I; or five years of progressively responsible quantitative and qualitative data research experience engaged in the collection, compilation, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation of data
Training and experience facilitating cross-departmental workgroups, project management principles, and data governance
Conversant in one or more programming languages (e.g., SAS, SQL, etc.)
Training and experience in Tableau and/or Power BI
Strong analytical, presentation, and written skills
