Responsibilities
Manage and execute accessibility-focused engineering projects.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for accessibility-related projects.
Conduct and oversee accessibility inspections, code compliance analysis, and plan reviews.
Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and perform site visits for accessibility projects.
Coordinate and supervise field investigations, evaluation of data, and development of recommendations.
Supervise field staff, including accessibility assessors and other supporting personnel.
Perform Property Condition Assessments (PCA) of commercial buildings as per ASTM E 2018-15 standards.
Assist with building enclosure-related testing such as fenestration testing, weather barrier testing, and Exterior Insulation Finishing System (EIFS) testing.
Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning and report any safety issues or concerns to management.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in accessibility-focused engineering projects
Certified Access Specialist (CASp) #969
International Code Council Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner
International Code Council Residential Plans Examiner
International Code Council Residential Building Inspector
Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC)
Oregon Residential Plans Examiner
Oregon Residential Structural Inspector
Extensive knowledge of accessibility codes and regulations, including ADA, ABA, Fair Housing Act, UFAS, IBC, ANSI A117.1, and Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations
Proficient in technical plan reviews and on-site inspections for residential, commercial, and other construction projects
Strong project management and team leadership abilities
Excellent communication skills for advising architects, designers, contractors, and developers on code and design requirements
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Construction Engineering Management)
