Responsibilities
Following lead of outside design agency, extend and implement core HeartShare brand design guidelines, ensuring that such guidelines are available to and followed by team members and partners.
Led website redesign project, designing all elements of the website, ensuring that accessibility and usability principles sit at the heart of digital experience. Extend brand identity work to all corners of the website. Will be main point of contact with development partner to ensure all design and interaction comes to life as intended. Marketing manager will be responsible for gathering copy content for website, external photographer/videographer will shoot as needed.
Manage the design and production of HeartShare core digital and print assets (pamphlets, business cards, postcards, posters, letterhead, development materials, etc.).
Design templates for email communications and social media: core newsletter layouts, email journey flow templates, Instagram content bucket templates.
Design visuals and templates for HeartShare special events, this includes but is not limited to the invite, fundraising material, in-venue branding, on-screen templates, event collateral.
Create a system for universal signage and an ideal rollout cadence. Work with outside vendors to align on styles and templates that programs can select from.
Provide strategic visual concept expertise on specific HeartShare programs when more one-off and audience-specific design is required. This can include full stand-alone website and brand identities (few and far between), or simple brochures or social media one-offs.
Lead the design and branding activities for digital campaigns, monthly giving programs or partnerships, to include developing key visuals (logo, mark and lead graphic) and flexible templates (primarily for social channels).
Assist in the development of project-specific pitch documents to solicit external funding from corporations and private foundations.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of graphic design experience.
Digital, Web, Print and Video marketing experience
In Depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Advanced proficiency with presentation software (PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products and the ability to set up templates (specifically in PPT and Word).
Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and basic HTML; MailChimp or similar email service platforms.
Experience designing with data (visualizations/graphs/maps/etc.).
Experience in the design thinking process.
Experience and flexibility working in a collaborative team environment.
Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices.
A good understanding of visual design principles, as well as experience with user-centered design.
Strong work ethic and personal accountability.
Strong time management skills.
The position requires the ability to sit for sustained periods of time and travel locally. The vision requirement includes close vision. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred
Experience designing motion graphics a plus.
