Responsibilities

The Senior Interior Designer is responsible for the development, implementation, and creation of project design concepts.

Provide design continuity and leadership, overseeing the creation and development of IIG | Select design concepts.

Assist in formulating unique design presentation strategies and provide creative, process-driven leadership to design teams.

Manage and lead assigned projects from conceptualization through construction administration and implementation with minimal supervision.

Possess expert knowledge of hotel standards, fire codes, and ADA accessibility requirements for interiors.

Create finish, plumbing, and other schedules.

Lead construction document process and provide production support to ensure quality and timely completion of deliverables.

Manage project team progress on selection of interior finishes and furnishings ensuring all work meets project goals.

Prioritize building and maintaining client trust and relationship.

Communicate project information internally and externally ensuring timely updates for the client and project team.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture

5+ years hospitality design experience

NCIDQ (desirable)

AutoCAD (advanced proficiency)

Adobe Suite – Photoshop, InDesign, & Illustrator (advanced proficiency)

Hospitality design experience (5+ years preferred)

Technical knowledge for creating specifications and installation coordination for FF&E furnishings, decorative lighting, and other related interior design contract documents

Knowledgeable of hotel standards, fire codes, and ADA accessibility

Knowledge of contract hospitality grade sourcing

Extensive knowledge in brand standards and PIPs

Excellent presentation skills

Finely tuned and tasteful eye for color, texture, and pattern

Client management skills

Time management skills

Strong communication skills, internally and externally

Proven track record of professional and timely deliverables such as: FF&E schedules, specifications, budgets, and interior construction documents

Highly organized ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while consistently achieving high standards and goals

Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills

Knowledge of project tracking software or organization
