Responsibilities

Making sure the hotel is in great working order and meets all operational standards related to the Engineering Department.

Conducting walk-throughs and assessments of maintenance and operation of the hotel structure, systems, and equipment.

Being responsible for Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program and keeping updated records consistently.

Working with all hotel management team and property General Manager.

Hiring, training, supervising, coaching, and counseling associates, including managers.

Ensuring grounds are maintained for a great arrival experience.

Implementing the hotel's safety and emergency policies and procedures, including removal of all safety hazards, following company's OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques.

Required

Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction

Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required

Must be able to read and interpret drawings, diagrams and blue prints. Read and understand test equipment and measuring devices

Strong business communication skills verbal and written

Flexible to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
