Director of Business Development

Responsibilities
Establish and implement the business development strategy for the Company.
Develop revenue streams through new market development.
Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system/process.
Manage processes for all phases of the Business Development Life Cycle.
Review and refine client proposals/Statements of Work (SOW).
Identify new customer opportunities.
Develop value propositions for business opportunities.
Support development of new consulting solutions and expand product/service offerings.
Manage yearly/monthly/weekly BD planning, forecasting, performance management & budgeting.
Support project on-boarding process.
Interface with Operations and Finance for margin management.
Support Operations in addressing client issues/concerns.
Maintain legal contracts with the Legal Department.
Generate SOWs in collaboration with the Central Project Management Organization (CPMO).

Required
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field is required; MBA preferred but not required.
Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in the Regulatory/Quality/Engineering consulting services serving Life Science industry. Marketing experience a plus.
Strong strategic and problem-solving mindset in the Medical Device space with a proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
Possess a solid understanding of the medical device manufacturing industry: products, players, technologies, and regulations.
Competent in leading and responding to RFI & RFP’s.
Business Acumen - keeping abreast of the Industry/Client market trends and using them in pursuits. Extensive research and assimilation capability.
Budget development & forecasting experience.
Ability and willingness to travel, as needed.
Always maintain professional comportment when communicating and collaborating with both external and internal customers.
Excellent customer facing skills which include: Executive presence, sales planning building relationships, developing and managing sales processes, ability to listen & address specific problem, problem solving skills, influence client’s strategy, articulate solutions, estimation and negotiation.
Preferred
MBA preferred but not required.
Marketing experience a plus.
