Responsibilities

Collaborate with backend, product, and quality engineering teams to build and deliver data products for stakeholders.

Assemble and work with large complex sets of data, and provide guidance to the business by transforming functional requests into holistic engineering designs for the team to implement.

Work cross-functionally in a data-centric reporting team.

Required

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus two years of experience in the position offered or a software engineer or data engineer position

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus five years of post-Bachelor’s progressive experience in the position offered or a software engineer or data engineer position

Building high-performance applications applying modern software development methodologies including unit testing, build automation and code reviews

Delivering back-end development or big data management and solutions

Working with advanced SQL/NoSQL distributed databases such as Postgres, Redis, NoSQL or NewSQL

Programming in Python, Java or C/C++

Working with big data technologies and platforms including Spark, Kafka, Hive, Airflow and GCP/AWS

Applying API design, system design, and object-oriented design principles

Developing solutions using continuous integration, testing and automation concepts
