Responsibilities
Act as the main contact/project manager for cost optimization initiatives within the Packaging organization and facilitate packaging change projects to be delivered accurately and on time, proactively identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans.
Provide visibility of project status, costs, priorities, forecasts and results to category teams and other leadership to drive alignment.
Recommend and lead packaging development programs that improve operational efficiency, safety, cost, damage or provide competitive advantage.
Enable strong performance of the cross-functional team by facilitating open communication and efficient decision-making, through weekly meetings and ongoing leadership. You will also provide direction on execution and collaborate with cross-functional team members.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Kimberly-Clark operations, technology and production capabilities, as well as supply chain processes to fully integrate operations and supply chain solutions and objectives into package development – to capitalize on cost reduction and production efficiency opportunities.
Understand the consumer, customer and competitive environment to ensure consistency and alignment with brand equity to drive category growth.
Train cross-functional team members regarding overall processes and timing requirements to effectively plan and successfully execute projects/initiatives, as well as to sustain process consistency and best practices.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering
Five or more years of experience with demonstrated accomplishments in packaging project management and an in-depth knowledge of packaging optimization, cost savings, concept development and operations/supply chain processes.
Strong planning/organizing and analytical skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to communicate professionally.
Advanced knowledge of end-to-end packaging and the prototype development trialing process.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and objectives.
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and work with multi-functional project teams.
Excellent negotiation skills with ability to influence decisions across multiple functions and levels.
Ability to transform specific brand/customer/consumer goals into actionable plans across multiple functions and vendors/agencies.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in an environment with a high degree of change and uncertainty.
Working knowledge of packaging software such as CAPE, TOPS, and Artios CAD.
