Responsibilities

Write thoughtful, scalable, and performant React, CSS, and HTML code to build and test new features for customer use

Develop and maintain scalable front-end applications using Next.js and React

Optimize build processes and performance, including bundling using webpack and turborepo

Enhance developer tooling and workflows to streamline development processes

Troubleshoot and resolve front-end performance and compatibility issues

Stay updated on emerging technologies and advocate for best practices within the team

Make decisions and direct projects that influence customer shopping experience at Wayfair

Contribute to decisions, initiatives, and coding patterns shaping the broader frontend platform

Write code that is visible to millions of customers daily

Be part of the team leading the market in delivering a delightful customer online shopping experience for home furnishings

Required

Proficiency in Next.js and React with demonstrable experience in developing large-scale applications.

A deep understanding of JavaScript state management libraries, such as Redux, MobX, or Apollo

Experience in designing and implementing developer tooling, such as CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and code quality tools.

Solid understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.

Up-to-date on the latest frontend and design technology, trends, and industry news
