Responsibilities
Provide executive-level administrative support to the Vice President, including logistical support for committees and projects.
Coordinate and manage the Vice President's calendar, prepare agendas, and ensure preparedness for meetings.
Plan and execute events, manage daily office operations, and order supplies.
Compile and analyze data, maintain records, and handle correspondence and communication.
Track and maintain the operating budget, process expenses, and coordinate grants and awards.
Conduct research on equity, inclusion, and diversity topics in higher education and art.
Provide administrative support for projects and initiatives, maintain confidentiality, and supervise student assistants.

Required
Understanding of and commitment to equity, inclusion, and diversity in higher education
Outstanding interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, including discretion, confidentiality, ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others, and a strong ability to engage myriad cultural perspectives
Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage dynamic and competing priorities, and proactively shepherd tasks to fulfillment
Ability to anticipate and assess the needs of the office and creatively solve problems
Intermediate computer literacy and knowledge, including internet, MS Office, and Google Apps, and the ability to learn new computer software skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and work ethic
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to discreetly handle confidential matters
Strong writing and proofreading skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years of experience providing administrative support, including experience supporting a senior executive or senior manager
Preferred
Experience in a higher education setting is preferred
Additional computer software skills with programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Qualtrics, and Airtable are preferred
