Responsibilities
Responsible for conceptual design engineering of new products and special products, and improving existing products and manufacturing methods.
Serve as a technical consultant on product design, application, service problems, quality deviations, and material substitution.
Act as an engineering consultant to manufacturing on product-related problems.
Provide product design requirements, technical support to the Sales force, and work with customers to resolve technical issues.
Establish bearing testing requirements, create Bill-of-Material, and support lean enterprise activities.
Train other less senior Product Engineers.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
5 years of experience in design drafting, mechanical design or manufacturing methods
Knowledge of bearing design principles and practices
Knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Familiarity with company products and manufacturing processes
Understanding of ITAR Regulations
Ability to interpret customer and industry standards and specifications
Knowledge of Lean Enterprise methods
Experience with Solid Modeling CAD Software
Computer skills
Familiarity with various operating systems
Knowledge of bearing test lab equipment and capabilities
Experience in bearing failure evaluation and analysis
Ability to analyze data for decision-making regarding product performance and manufacturing
Ability to create and deliver technical presentations
Effective oral and written communication skills
