Responsibilities

Evaluate loans for payment ability and collection strategy

Contact past due borrowers and collect funds

Prepare and submit documentation to SBA

Liquidate collateral through foreclosure or repossession

Interface with various parties including real estate brokers and legal counsels

Monitor bankruptcies and prepare Proof of Claims

Update system information and compile necessary documents

Order site visits, appraisals, and reports

Prepare payment requests and follow up on invoices

Monitor charge off status and expense reimbursement

Upload key documentation into the imaging system

Required

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in collection, liquidation, litigation, and offers in compromise related to small business loans with 2-3 or more years' experience with SBA 7(a) loan liquidation

Proficiency with MS Office applications; Advanced Excel skills

Bankruptcy experience

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and remain organized

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Have a working understanding of unauthorized transfer of title and due on sale clauses

Have a working understanding of eviction proceedings, as well as receivership

Have a working understanding of title policies, preliminary title reports, and UCC search reports

Ability to learn and work in multiple programs/systems, such as Ventures+, the Central Servicing Agent (CSA) system, and the SBA e-Trans system

A basic understanding of servicing type actions, such as deferment, changes in borrowing entities, releases, substitutions of parties and collateral, and assumption

Flexibility to work on any high priority projects that may be assigned, including those that do not relate specifically to Risk Management and/or Liquidation

Ability to quickly adapt to changes in policy or procedure

Ability to understand loan documents and their function

Ability to read and resolve any accounting related discrepancies
