Responsibilities

Work with cross functional team to identify concepts and solutions
Identify, characterize and select sensors used in navigation of flexible medical device inside human body
Research, prototype and iterate sensor processing, navigation and sensor fusion algorithms
Perform thorough technical evaluation and assist user evaluation
Contribute high-quality real-time software implementations that will be incorporated into a medical device
Draft technical/regulatory documentation and patent disclosures / applications
Be a dynamic team member and support other relevant R&D effort

Required

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering or Robotics: minimum BS + 5 years, MS + 3 years or PhD
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Solid scientific training and analytical skills: mathematics, critical thinking, experimentation, data analysis, hypothesis testing
Knowledge and hands-on experience working with IMU sensors and Inertial Navigation System
Hands on experience with sensor signal processing such as Kalman Filter and Extended Kalman Filter
Proficiency in C++, Python, C# (nice-to-have) and knowledge of OOP
Solid fundamental training and hands-on experience in estimation, signal processing, and sensor fusion

Preferred

Knowledge and experience in vision-based navigation (SLAM, 3d computer vision and deep learning) strongly preferred
Experience in a medical application is preferred
