Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Oracle databases to support various applications and business needs.
Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Develop and optimize PL/SQL code for performance and efficiency.
Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects.
Ensure database design follows best practices and supports data integrity and security.
Collaborate with application developers to design and implement database solutions.
Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing strategies.
Monitor database performance and identify bottlenecks or issues.
Implement solutions to improve database performance and scalability.
Manage and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
Ensure data quality and consistency through data validation and cleansing.
Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
Document database designs, processes, and procedures.

Required

Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oracle database development.
Proven track record of designing, developing, and optimizing Oracle databases.
Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and design principles.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Oracle databases.
Familiarity with Oracle tools and utilities, such as Oracle SQL Developer, TOAD, and Oracle Enterprise Manager.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is highly preferred.
Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and other high-availability solutions.
Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
Experience with other database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) is a plus.
