Responsibilities
Work closely with business development group, Market Managers, Product Development Managers, and customers to analyze technical and design aspects of new development opportunities.
Finalize business cases in collaboration with Sales and product managers.
Provide leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary product development teams.
Follow and coordinate the Stage Gate process for product development, analyze key project metrics, and create product development business cases.
Establish key project metrics and take appropriate actions, provide consultation on field issues, and mentor product development engineers and designers.
Review technical inquiries of customers, recommend relevant systems, and develop new ideas and concepts.
Advance understanding of material resources and new processes, plan and perform product testing, and evaluate results of analyses for new product safety and performance.
Produce engineering drawings, provide relevant information to management, and enter business system information as required.
Present findings to senior management and customers, contact customers/suppliers for design/application decisions, and provide reports on testing results.
Work with patent documents, partake in customer visits, and make recommendations for productivity and method improvements.
Ensure ISO guidelines are followed and foster an environment of innovation with the submission of new ideas.

Required
University Degree in Engineering
Minimum of six to seven (6-7) years related experience
Experience with SAP or an ERP is preferred
Excellent record with Engineering, Sales Representatives, and Manufacturing
Previous experience as Process Engineer or Mechanical Engineer or Tool and Die/Mould Maker
Previous experience with material rheology as related to injection molding processes
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills
Capability of reading and interpreting documents such as process documentation, blueprints, operating and instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports
Effective communication with employees, management, and customers
Ability to spearhead development of program strategies and analysis of new products
Information collection and analysis
Presentation preparation and delivery
Written proposal development
Lead design reviews as required
Ability to cultivate positive relationships with customers
Preferred
