Responsibilities

Perform role of project manager for design and construction of major water and wastewater projects
Reviews design plans and specifications for completeness and accuracy
Maintains project records including correspondence, reports, design documents, schedule and project cost updates
Participates in project design review meetings and construction progress meetings
Manage construction project delivery with focus on project schedule and cost control
Coordinates project impacts with Operations and assists with tie-ins and facility shutdowns
Manages completion of project including start-up, testing, commissioning, and review of final record drawings
Performs and/or manages special projects and studies needed
Tasked with leading project chartering meetings, developing requests for interviews, and possible participation in the selection of professional services contracts

Required

Degree in Engineering, or other related field received from an accredited college or university
Possession of a Professional Engineering registration in the State of Texas or the ability to become a registered PE in Texas within 12 months from date of hire or a minimum of 10 years working as a professional in the design or construction management of water and wastewater infrastructure
Experience in water/wastewater process, treatment, pumping, collection (wastewater), transmission (water) pipeline design and construction; or electrical experience with medium voltage and low voltages systems
Experience utilizing engineering design and project management software
Requires a valid Texas Driver’s License

Preferred

Prior experience or familiarity with scheduling, modeling software, and design software platforms such as Autocad
