Responsibilities

Ensure all utility systems and associated equipment function correctly.
Respond to mechanical/electrical problems, perform troubleshooting, and document issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on utility systems and equipment.
Provide general labor services, cleaning, and organizing designated work areas.
Complete training to monitor, troubleshoot, and perform operational checks on utility/facility equipment.
Adhere to site GMP requirements and maintain training qualifications.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, and Client teams.
Work independently and follow escalation policy when necessary.
Possess organizational and time management skills.
Operate automated control systems, PLCs, and Building Automation Systems.

Required

Must be willing to join Local 39 International Union of Operating Engineers
Must be able to read and understand mechanical blue prints and electrical schematics
Have basic knowledge and use of hand tools
Have experience with building/system control systems
Have experience with boilers and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them
Have knowledge of air compressors, air dyers, water purification equipment (reverse osmosis units, water distilling units, clean steam generators), chemical systems, closed loop system water chemistry, refrigeration/HVAC equipment, diesel generators/electrical distribution, and the ability to perform operations/maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment
Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication
Have working knowledge of PLCs, HMI interfaces and other automated devices
Experience in oral, written, and remote communications in a concise and timely manner
High School Graduate
3+ years general maintenance or operations experience
Previous GMP environment experience
Have working knowledge of CMMS systems

Preferred

Completed Local 39 apprenticeship test
Refrigeration / HVAC certificate (Preferred)
Boiler operator certificate (Preferred)
Wastewater certificate (Preferred)
