Responsibilities
Discuss project requirements with the client while delivering value engineering
Analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data to complete work assignments using computer modelling software
Create and review drawings using CAD tools
Assess the environmental impact and risk connected to projects
Bid proposal support
Manage multiple projects
Ensure sites meet legal guidelines and health and safety requirements
Deliver civil engineering designs and optimization in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices
Day-to-day management of assigned projects
Plan, define project tasks, schedule, and deliver on-time execution of civil scope of work and project deliverables
Work closely with the RRC Project Managers and Civil Engineering Group Manager in the successful execution of work
Be responsive to the needs of the client and project requirements
10% travel is expected and can include overnight stays for several days
Jobsite visits require ability to traverse uneven or rough terrain, including bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing
Sitting is involved for most of the day while in the office but a raised desk workstation is available
Minimal lifting requirement of 20 pounds or less on an infrequent basis

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license
5+ years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in renewable energy projects
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Experience with civil design of wind and solar projects
Knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, drainage design, erosion control, and roadway design
Ability to coordinate with clients and internal staff, and commitment to QA/QC, safety, and on-time deliverables
Ability to analyze survey, mapping, and materials-testing data
Experience in bid proposal support and project management
Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to visit job sites with uneven or rough terrain
Ability to lift 20 pounds or less on an infrequent basis
