Responsibilities
Trusted Advisor: Become a trusted advisor for Employee Experience & Corporate Technology and Finance Risk Data and Controls-Tech on Cloud Optimization best practices.
Cost Optimization: Support technologists in maximizing cloud variable spend by applying Rightsizing, Down Scheduling, and Serverless options.
Management Calls: Lead management calls to keep stakeholders informed, providing insights and suggested courses of action.
Well-Architected Framework: Evangelize the well-architecture framework.
Budgets and Forecasts: Work closely with financial and billing teams on budgets, forecasts, and Total Cost of Ownership analysis.
Financial Analysis: Provide public cloud monthly financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and executive reviews.
Application Portfolio Spend: Perform operational research and quantitative study on application portfolio spend patterns.

Required
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of relevant work experience, including FinOps experience in public cloud cost management and optimization
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, strong communication, analytical abilities, and integrity in handling sensitive information
Ability to be respected as a trusted partner for business, finance, and financial planning & analysis teams
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with AWN’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of AWN business information (in accordance with our employee handbook and corporate policies)
Background checks are required for this position
Preferred
At least 3 years of AWS experience (Practitioner) and enthusiasm to learn about Cloud Finance
Ability to analyze cloud data/bills and identify anomalies
Collaborative style with the ability to influence others across multiple functional areas
Understanding of technical debt specifically related to app decommissioning and end-user tech cost
Experience in FinOps principals, capabilities, and the well-architected “cloud” framework
