Responsibilities

Network engineer with hands-on experience in the installation and management of public and/or private networks such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (Cisco), and troubleshooting servers and networks.

Provide guidance to the Network/Server Lead, prepare performance reports, evaluate new communications technologies, design network topologies, and develop hardware requirements.

Direct and lead preparation of engineering plans, develop infrastructure installation schedules, and provide technical expertise to team members and business partners.

Coordinate network-related inventory procurement, installation, and management, travel to customer sites for deployment activities, and conduct training sessions for team members.

Prepare drawings documenting network configuration changes, site installation reports, and train site personnel in hardware usage. Respond to requests and document actions taken in a ticketing system.

Required

5+ years of experience in Information Technology, focus in networking, Cisco router and switch configuration, LAN, WAN management.

Hands-on experience and expertise in the installation and management of public and/or private networks such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (Cisco), and troubleshooting servers and networks to provide maximum performance.

Hands on experience with server installations including Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux and Database Support.

Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well as customer.

Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.

Experience in Customer Service.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications.

One or more technical certifications in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCST, CCNP) required.

Must be able to travel up to 25% CONUS and/or OCONUS.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
