Responsibilities
Perform technical writing and editing for IT security communications deliverables.
Establish and manage formal communications functions and processes for a Front Office team.
Coordinate the planning, development, review, and dissemination of organizational communications relevant to IT security guidance and solutions.
Assist in drafting and editing data call responses to Congress, federal agencies, and DOS senior leaders.
Write in a clear, non-technical, accessible, compelling, authentic, and accurate way about a broad range of issues.
Organize, manage, and develop content for internal and external engagements.
Manage assignments to adapt to changing client priorities and ad hoc requests.
Deliver high-quality services and deliverables to clients consistently.
Present information, lead meetings, and work directly with senior-level clients.
Track progress, report, and coordinate tasks across all phases of development and delivery.

Required
An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelor’s degree
FIVE (5) or more years of experience in communications
Experience with capturing voice and speech writing and in supporting a senior executive or government official and engaging with executives across large organizations
Ability to perform independent research, verify facts rapidly, and produce on tight deadlines
Preferred
An ACTIVE and CURRENT TOP SECRET/SCI federal security clearance
Security+ certification
Experience working in the Department of State or another Federal government agency environment is a plus
Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office, project management, and team management skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly
Passion for continuous learning
Knowledge of widely used style guides and foundational principles of English grammar
Demonstrated understanding of technical cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, policies, strategies, and federal requirements
Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental cybersecurity concepts to tasks and projects
