Responsibilities

Design performance test framework and help development teams run performance tests

Collaborate with internal customers to optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues

Inspect iterative results and propose improvements to techniques, tools, and processes

Work with a broad array of technologies and tools

Design and implement automation frameworks for performance testing, deployment, and upgrade of web-scale application services

Drive architecture discussions, performance optimizations, and end-to-end improvements into the platform with development architects and leads

Required

7+ years of relevant experience

Experience in UI performance testing

Experience with at least one of programming/scripting language (Java/Groovy/Javascript)

Knowledge of shell scripting and experience with Linux-based systems

Experience with Kubernetes-based application performance testing

Experience with Selenium scripting including creating automated tests and performing web browser automation tasks (Need mainly for UI performance)

Preferred

Software performance testing & tuning of web-based applications (in-house & cloud)

Application development and automation with Java

Test automation and framework development with jMeter or SOASTA or LoadRunner

Application performance monitoring using Dynatrace or DataDog or SPLUNK or similar tools

Deep understanding of web, app, and database layer testing and tuning

Deep understanding of log monitoring, pattern identification, test data design, and performance KPIs

Kubernetes cluster deployment, automation & optimization (AWS & on-premises, experience with Docker-based Kubernetes is a plus)

For this position, the candidate must pass a written exam and 2 rounds of interviews
