Responsibilities
Draft, review, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and contracts.
Maintain and organize case files and legal documents in both electronic and hard copy formats.
Schedule and manage attorney calendars, including arranging meetings, court dates, and client appointments.
Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing emails, and conducting basic office tasks.
File legal documents with courts and other agencies.
Communicate with clients to schedule meetings, gather information, and provide updates on case status.
Maintain client confidentiality and manage sensitive client information appropriately.
Serve as a liaison between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in cases.
Assist in the management of case files and ensure all necessary documents are completed and filed correctly.
Track case progress and ensure all deadlines are met.
Help prepare for trial by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other necessary materials.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required
Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research tools.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service to include effective written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Experience with NitroPro a plus.
Acquire knowledge of Client and Case Management Systems upon hire.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
Certification from a recognized paralegal program is preferred.
Prior experience working as a legal assistant or paralegal is desirable.
2 – 5 years in a professional office environment; prior law firm experience a plus
Preferred
Experience with legal case management software is a plus.
Notary Public preferred but not required.
