Responsibilities
Function as a technical leader scoping user challenge problems, performing analysis of alternatives, designing software, and defining tasking for peers and junior engineers.
Develop new software components, audit/verify the work of others, decompose large/complex problems, and develop content for user manuals, training materials, and technical documentation.
Identify, understand, and provide creative solutions to advance software performance, contribute to process improvements, mentor peers and subordinates, evaluate technical quality, and participate in design and architecture discussions.
Lead a team of engineers, understand customers' needs, develop a team roadmap, protect critical technologies, and provide technical write-ups for patents and disclosures.

Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and a minimum of 11 years of work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain DoD TS/SCI security clearance
Minimum of 8 years of experience engineering software using C/C++, Java, or Python
5 years of experience in hypervisor and virtualization technology
Experience with AI/ML and edge computing
Experience developing on Linux and Windows platforms
Capable of deriving technical tasking from requirements and guiding and directing the execution of technical efforts
Solid understanding of engineering principles, engineering tools, and software
Strong understanding of business environments and engineering lifecycle concepts
Solid understanding of network fundamentals
Able to describe highly technical software systems and express technical solutions in an understandable, customer-appropriate fashion
Solid understanding of secure software development practices
Exceptional time management and task prioritization skills
Preferred
Signal processing experience
VPN development experience
Familiarity with cross domain solutions
Familiarity with Git
Experience with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, Ceph)
DoD IAT Level I certification
Experience supporting fielded applications and triaging support calls/requests
