Responsibilities

Independently collaborate and strategize with Merchant partners on business and assortment opportunities

Apply business acumen to initiate analytics that support business needs. Use sound logic to determine the appropriate approach for effective analysis:

Seasonal Strategies

Business Events

Ad Hoc requests

Independently translate findings and package results using Power Point or other formats

Provide oversight and guidance to Analysts and/or Associate to support the development of assortment execution and strategies

Define and implement allocation approaches that result in an optimal inventory mix to improve the customer experience

Participate in store visits to assess allocation results and identify assortment opportunities

Collaborate with Planning partners to resolve issues that address plan achievement

Self-Identify and escalate issues impacting inventory plan achievement and develop recommendations for improvement

Manage and drive allocation automation to support timely receipt processing

Ensure allocation department tools are current and accurate

Validate automated allocation approaches

Assist manager to ensure team allocation levers are set up for successful execution

Is the point person and resource for team in the manager's absence

Required

Bachelor's Degree, preferred

3+ years equivalent work experience

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, SumProduct, If Error, H-lookup, arrays, etc.)

Complex retail math calculations

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to independently analyze complex data sets to solve problem and summarize recommendations

Packaging Results utilizing PowerPoint

Retail software experience, a plus (JDA or Other Allocation Software)

Preferred

Supervisory experience is a plus
