Responsibilities

Liaison between the lines of business IT teams, Product owners, external vendors, and Development team to analyze business and data requirements

Build understanding of business needs, system architecture, and data management to create functional designs

Analyze business requirements and document them clearly for development teams

Lead Testing / QA function, manage Agile development backlog, and identify Test Scenarios

Manage Project Task Estimations, Risk, and Management Issues

Execute Test Cases and document results using tools like qTest

Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications

Analyze and visualize large data sets to improve software applications

Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new technologies

Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team

Required

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience

Able to understand the logic of code and to construct complex data queries

Advanced business and data analysis, business process and application knowledge

Able to model process flows, data relationship flows and event sequencing

Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle

Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline

Preferred

Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop/HIVE/Spark

Exposure to Public Cloud platform and tools e.g., AWS

Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
