Responsibilities
Collaborate with Systems, Hardware, and Test engineers in project planning, requirements development, design, development, integration, and testing.
Prepare design and project artifacts for complex programs in accordance with established processes.
Leverage current and new technologies to lead in the engineering organization.
Perform all work onsite at a BAE Systems facility due to the nature of the role.
Obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Lead and motivate technical teams, ensuring strong problem-solving skills are applied to software development.
Utilize source code control tools and perform software testing, validation, and verification activities.

Required
Background in embedded and/or application software development in C++
Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles
Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
Experience performing software testing, validation, and verification activities
Ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams
Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working software
Proficient with source code control tools
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Preferred
Active DoD Secret level clearance
Real-time embedded development
Full life cycle software development

Continuous Integration Tools
