Responsibilities
Develop and build automated tools:
• Select features and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
• Build systems to automate data processing and streamline operational workflows.
• Ensure compliance with technical guidelines set by DIGITAL HIE INC, Office of Counsel, and USPS technical departments.
Conduct data mining using state-of-the-art methods:
• Mine large datasets from multiple sources to produce actionable intelligence products.
• Utilize advanced analytics to support DIGITAL HIE INC strategies and mission objectives.
• Format results for field use, providing critical insights to support intel-based targeting and investigations.
Enhance data collection procedures:
• Automate data collection processes to improve efficiency and data integrity.
• Implement advanced data cleansing and verification techniques.
• Ensure the integrity and security of collected data meets organizational standards.
Provide third-party data integration:
• Utilize authorized third-party data sources to enhance analytical outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with data usage guidelines and organizational policies.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present findings:
• Perform ad-hoc data analysis requests to support investigative initiatives.
• Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, presentations, and visual aids.
Develop automated anomaly detection systems:
• Design and implement automated systems for anomaly detection.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
Assist in general IT support:
• Provide technical support as needed within the CI2 and CI2 NTC environments.
• Adhere to USPS and DIGITAL HIE INC policies and procedures for IT support activities.
Enhance Cloud resource hosting solutions:
• Enhance and maintain Cloud-based hosting solutions for tools including APOLLO, HYDRA, and ORION.
• Ensure accessibility and functionality of tools for field inspectors.
Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
Generate actionable insights for business improvements
Qualification

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Proven experience 8-10 as a Data Scientist or similar role in a complex data environment
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar
Experience with machine learning techniques, data mining, and statistical analysis
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and related technologies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings effectively
Security clearance (if applicable) at a level suitable for classified data handling
Preferred
The ideal candidate's favorite words are learning, data, scale, and agility
Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
Fluency in a programming language (Python, C, C++, Java, SQL)
Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)
