Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.

Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.

Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.

Code, design, and testing in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.

Ensure quality and completeness of the product through unit, component testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing capabilities.

Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies.

Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P.Morgan technologies and infrastructure.

Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.

Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.

Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required

Formal training or certification on Web UI Software development, Web UI fundamentals & Architecture and related technologies and 5+ years applied experience.

Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.

Strong knowledge and experience on Javascript, Java, Web Framework.

Strong exposure to React, Angular, Javascript and related technologies.

Strong knowledge and experience on Testing Automation, such as BDD, Cucumber, etc.

Strong knowledge and experience on performance profiling.

Good experience in Single Page App development using React for creating interactive UI's, Virtual DOM, Component life cycle, React, JSX, React Router ecosystem and concepts.

Good experience in Application development in TypeScript or JavaScript and its code rules.

Good experience in customizing CSS frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation using CSS.

Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Preferred

Overall deep experience in delivering technology solutions.

Extensive web development experience.

Expert level experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.

Experience with Jenkins or similar tools.

Practical cloud native experience.

Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
