Responsibilities

Performing full life-cycle software development including designing system and software solutions; supporting implementation, integration, acceptance testing and deployment.
Supporting a large-scale global aviation network infrastructure with a focus on redundancy, high availability, and security.
Developing software for air-ground/ground-ground communication, positional data processing, transport/routing/link layer protocols, radio interfaces, hardware/OS customization, and remote deployment capabilities.
Collaborating closely with system engineering/performance, network engineering, system acceptance, and field operation teams.
Providing support for product deployment, field monitoring, troubleshooting, and operator trainings.
Participating in lab/field integration and industry activities with avionics vendors, Satellite Service Providers, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) from domestic US, Europe, and Asia.
Utilizing a mature ISO/SEI CMMI compliant process to produce all work products.
Supporting project leadership, project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities.
Working onsite in Annapolis MD 3 days a week.

Contract ManagementSystem Software DevelopmentAuthorization to work in the U.S.

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience in contract management.
Prior experience in system software development
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position
