Responsibilities

Apply knowledge and experience globally across capital projects to drive harmonization and best practice utilization via creation and maintenance of design standards.

Discover, explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies for cost and time reduction and yield improvement.

Establish and maintain strong inter-site, inter-department ties, and collaborate with various departments.

Review design of facilities for mammalian cell culture production of biopharmaceuticals.

Contribute to growth projects at different phases by working with the department representative on active capital projects.

Track deliverables, maintain communication between involved parties, review equipment lists, coordinate project peer reviews, provide subject matter expertise, develop and maintain network design standards, and manage project completion within set constraints.

Design and operate Biopharmaceutical facilities, including Upstream Processing, in both manufacturing and support systems.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or Life Sciences

Five (5) years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in Biotechnology or similar manufacturing industry in manufacturing, engineering, or process engineering/technology

Experience in the design and operation of Biopharmaceutical facilities, including Upstream Processing, in both manufacturing and support systems (cGMP manufacturing, pilot plant & laboratories)
