Responsibilities
Using simulation software to size Stabilus standard gas spring products into customer products and providing output to various stakeholders.
Designing custom gas spring products based on Stabilus design criteria and engineering practices.
Supporting prototype ordering, product development, and technical agreement with customers.
Reviewing customer prints and ensuring Stabilus products meet specifications.
Engaging in direct customer contact to provide technical assistance.
Providing technical drawings, supporting sales network, and completing Technical Change Notices.
Informing the company of technical developments and recommending design changes if needed.
Providing technical training and identifying application or product problems.
Traveling to customer locations as required and participating in trade shows.
May require participation in pilot and production start-ups.

Required
BSME or equivalent degree required
2-8 years related experience recommended
Software Skills: AutoCAD/SolidWorks, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Powerpoint, SAP
Interpersonal Skills: Deals with all facets of company and customers
Supervisory Skills: None
Contact with Others: Talks directly with customers, Sales, Engineering, and Production
Resourcefulness and Initiative: A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Mechanical aptitude: Must be able to work with light tools to mount product or build simulation bucks to simulate applications
Preferred
MSME or MBA preferred but not required
