Responsibilities
Act as a technical subject matter expert in network communications systems hardware and software.
Provide vision and support for data communications, voice communications, and video communications.
Manage day-to-day network operations and provide status updates to agency and IT Directors.
Coach and manage supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
Collaborate with staff, peers, vendors, and customers to assess network communication solutions and industry trends.
Lead project initiatives in a managerial and technical role.
Review and approve new hardware and software purchases for the agency network services environment.
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and technical standards for network operations.
Ensure network reliability, performance, and security across all network platforms.

Required
A minimum of Five (5) years of experience as an IT professional which must include a minimum of three years of experience in network engineering, network administration, deploying and managing enterprise-class network architectures.
Experience must include at least one year of relevant experience performing at the Senior/Lead professional level.
Preferred
ITIL ( Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Foundation.
CCNA and/or CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) or knowledge level of those certifications.
Understanding of NetOps with automations tools and revamping network support.
Experience with leading, driving, or championing enterprise change and innovation initiatives.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, network infrastructure design, and security practices.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
