Responsibilities

Provide technical support in project planning, safety site planning, project development, and supporting facility planning.
Serve as senior project planner for planning, design, and construction projects.
Investigate existing problem areas to forecast future project facilities planning.
Review plans and designs to ensure compliance with Navy and DoD guidance.
Prepare statements of work and government estimates.
Provide maintenance of weapon systems, hardware, equipment, and software.

Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
This position requires current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
This position may require travel from normal duty station and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
This position has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) which is CURRENT registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico. If you meet this requirement, you MUST provide a copy of your current registration with your application.
Your Resume Must Also Demonstrate At Least One Year Of Specialized Experience At Or Equivalent To The GS-12 Grade Level Or Pay Band In The Federal Service Or Equivalent Experience In The Private Or Public Sector. Specialized Experience Must Demonstrate The Following:
Performing a full range of multidisciplinary engineering responsibilities related to military construction (MILCON) and facilities;
Researching construction practices and techniques in order to develop future project specifications or feasibility considerations;
Analyzing architecture, engineering and planning proposals, drawings, and specifications in order to plan, design, construct, operate, and restore facilities;
Preparing statements of work, government estimates, and administering Architect and Engineering (A&E) contracts;
Providing budgeting, planning, and project management techniques to resolve design and construction issues; and
Supporting shore facilities design, construction contracts, environmental compliance, planning and real estate by utilizing facilities acquisition, project funding authority levels, contract requirements and documents, proposal and bidding procedures.
