Responsibilities

Responsible for the solar PV electrical engineering design work on assigned projects
Working with Project Engineers and Project Managers on developing design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering work activities
Supporting company business development activities as it relates to renewable energy projects
Monitoring project progress to ensure quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects
Solar PV system design including array layouts, DC string sizing, equipment layouts, and utility interconnections for various systems
Developing solar construction and equipment specifications
Engineering calculations and support drawing production
Bill of Materials and PV system cost estimation
Supporting projects through complete life cycle and presenting engineering work at client meetings
Occasional travel to client and/or project site

Required

BA/BS (Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering preferred) and 4+ years of relevant experience
Experience must include electrical design of commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems
EIT license

Preferred

Minimum eight (8) years of engineering experience preferred
PE license preferred
Highly Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and Microsoft Excel desired
Experience with other software in the industry such as NREL SAM, ForgeSolar, and Helioscope
Battery Energy Store System and/or other renewables experience
MV AC Collection System Design Experience
Proficient with the NEC, as well as related codes such as IBC and NFPA 855
Strong Familiarity with utility practices, industry codes and standards (NESC, IEEE, PIP etc.)
Able to lead engineering tasks with strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finish
